Note that this word employs a harder "R" sound than many other words. Compare this version of "paara" to "para" (to be able to): পারা
Finally, a note on the transliteration I'm using: Because Google's transliteration feature automatically converts P-A-R-A into পারা, I have chosen to use the double-a to differentiate.
