This is the argument to which I have attributed you:

"faithful Stationary Waves reader CH (who may object to my calling him a progressive, despite the fact that this is what he is as a matter of revealed ideology) argues that one of the principle reasons the poor are poor is that 'the rich' (here understood to mean employers) won't raise their wages."

In what way does the above quote mischaracterize your point of view? Please clarify what you said and/or meant and set the record straight. There is absolutely no need to feel maligned, since I fail to see anything objectionable in the above.RP Longhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15028013805248797978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4491040877840120845.post-31379835023027927922013-03-21T17:47:59.660-04:002013-03-21T17:47:59.660-04:00Ryan, as the aforementioned CH, I feel maligned by...Ryan, as the aforementioned CH, I feel maligned by your implication that I think we should take from the rich, that I look down on wealthy people in some way.

This simply isn't true. You know I'm an entrepreneur. I have a desire to create meaningful things and help others (specifically artists) bring wealth in their lives.

There are certainly situations where low wages are justified. There are also situations where companies manipulate employees they have hired to cheat them out of wages.

So, perhaps the answer is not minimum wage, but better protection for employees against companies that take advantage of them - but wait, unions are evil too, right?
