Don't kno...Yeah, it felt pretty real to me too. Don't know if it was the era or just being young, but I loved it. There were at least four or five bands I thought were just destined to be great one day...good times :)stephennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4491040877840120845.post-89444111496740408622012-09-04T12:54:16.346-04:002012-09-04T12:54:16.346-04:00Stephen,
Thanks so much for sharing some memories...Stephen,

Thanks so much for sharing some memories. I don't know if everyone feels this way, but there was something about the early 90s. Not all the music was good (or even passable), but it felt like everyone was giving it a real, genuine effort. Even the guys at my no-name high school who never amounted to anything were putting together bands that just always felt really genuine to me, like there was a reason to do it. I miss those days. I wish I had known at the time that they wouldn't last forever. ;)
RP Longhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15028013805248797978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4491040877840120845.post-89297280946552501842012-09-04T09:31:32.569-04:002012-09-04T09:31:32.569-04:00I grew up playing guitar in LA in the early nineti...I grew up playing guitar in LA in the early nineties, and we were all into the MI, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai thing. I actually met Steve once, as a freind from school was the bassist in this band:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad4Good

We were so damn jealous! He had a video on MTV and all this free Ibanez and Ampeg gear. Anyway, just started reading the blog, and this post took me down the good part of memory lane. stephennoreply@blogger.com
