When I discussed my new exercise plan with my wife yesterday, she reminded me that The Matrix was never intended to be a once-a-day workout. Looks like I had become a little too ambitious.
So instead of what I described yesterday, my plan for this week is to do "The Matrix" workout 3 times this week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The other days will be running-only days, and no change to the described mileage.
I successfully completed the workout yesterday, and it felt really good. My body was a bit shocked by the intensity of the workout - it's been a long time since I've done that much plyometric exercise. It was good for me. A couple of weeks of this sort of thing, and I'll be ready to start increasing intensity and getting creative.
